Occurrence in the British Isles unconfirmed. A potential immigrant from woodland in southern Europe, one was recorded in Wales over 200 years ago and is preserved in the British Museum, with no further records to date. Wingspan 20-22 mm. Larva feeds on various lichens; no evidence of breeding in the UK.
