Occurrence in the British Isles unconfirmed, but seems unlikely to have reached our shores unassisted. An example of this native from the New World, which occurs from Argentina to the southern USA and as a vagrant north to New York, was found in a collection of insects said to have been taken in the London area and was exhibited at a meeting of the South London Entomological & Natural History Society on 22 May 1946.
