While the possibility of it being a genuine migrant cannot be discounted, this North America species was recorded once in Britain at Hoylake, Cheshire on 31 July 1936 close to shipping lanes into the port of Liverpool, and therefore probably accidentally imported or ship-assisted. Wingspan 20-24 mm.
