Very rare immigrant from northern and eastern Europe, recorded in Britain just once: one was caught in an actinic light-trap in Hampstead, London, on 21 September 2001. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 41-46 mm. Very similar to the nominate subspecies of Conformist L. furcifera. Larva feeds on Alder, Silver Birch, Downy Birch and Hazel.
