An adventive species, described new to science from a male caught at light in Southsea in 2009, and subsequently males and females found in Bengeo, Hertfordshire in 2014 to 2017. Also reported from Devon in 2024 and probably other locations will be discovered. The moth is associated with Bamboo and is probably an Oriental species that has been accidentally imported. In the last few years it has also been found in Belgium.
