purpurana of
A. rufana, but may be distinguished by the comparatively broader forewing and less prominent apex, and the more uniform pruinose coloration [Bradley]. Larva feeds on Bog-myrtle, Bilberry, Bog Bilberry and Cowberry, living within a spun or rolled leaf.
