Recorded infrequently through accidental importation in orchids from south-east Asia. Recorded for the first time in Britain in Devon in 1986, where it was reared from imported orchids, with no further records to date. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Summer Fruit Tortrix Adoxophyes orana, which has dark grey not pale yellow-brown hindwing. Larva feeds within buds and shoots of orchids, subsequently living within a silken web.
