First discovered in Kent in 1984, where it has been regular since. Another was recorded in Devon in 2002 and so far the only Hampshire record is one to MV in Southsea on 29 June 2009. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 13-15 mm. Larva is stated to feed within the stems of Amphibious Bistort.
