Occurrence in the British Isles unconfirmed, this North American species is included on the British list on the basis of a single specimen, without data, in a British collection. Wingspan 34-42 mm. Fairly unmistakable, but it is unlikely that records of this species will be accepted unless the specimen is retained for examination. Larva feeds on Dandelion, Stinging Nettle and Plantain, no evidence of breeding in the UK.
