Occurrence in the British Isles unconfirmed. This northern European species is included on the British list on the basis of a reference to the capture of this species in the late 19th Century. The species was illustrated, and it was stated that 'Localities for the species are near Warrington'. However, there are no specimens in the BMNH and searches for larvae in the Warrington district on several occasions from 1974 to 1990 has failed to uncover any sign of it (MBGBI Vol 4 part 1). Wingspan 22-26 mm. Larva feeds on Tansy, living between leaves spun together with silk, no evidence of breeding in the UK.
