Occurrence in the British Isles unconfirmed. This south-east European species is included on the British list on the basis of vacated mines from East Anglia, however the mine is virtually indistinguishable from a mine-form of S. ulmivora. Larva mines leaves of Elm. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight.
