Scarce on chalk downland in the south of England from Kent to Dorset. In Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight recorded very sparingly in all three vice-counties. Wingspan 4.2-5.8 mm. Larva mines leaves of Self-heal, over-wintering as a pupa.
