Very rare immigrant from southern Europe, first recorded on Jersey on 16 July 1963, with a single record from the mainland at West Bexington, Dorset on 19 June 2005. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. It now appears to be regular in places along the coast of Jersey and possible elsewhere in the Channel Islands. Wingspan 16-21 mm. Larva feeds on various herbaceous plants.
