Very rare immigrant from southern Europe, appearing in southern England on 15 occasions (to 2019), two of which have occurred in Hampshire, in 2016 and 2017. Wingspan 34-36 mm. A beautifully marked, highly distinctive moth. Larva feeds on Bracken, with no evidence of breeding in the UK.
