Recorded infrequently through accidental importation in produce from Central and South America, recorded in the 19th Century from the banks of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal near Chorley, south Lancashire and as an accidental import to the London area. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date.
