Recorded infrequently through accidental importation from eastern Asia. Recorded just once in Britain, at Landguard Bird Observatory, Suffolk, on 2 May 2009, probably originating from a container ship headed for one of the nearby docks. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 36-44mm. Fairly unmistakable.
