Common in marshes, river-banks, water meadows and gardens throughout England and Wales, a species of conservation concern under the UK Biodiversity Action Plan. Widespread and common in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 30-34 mm. Larva feeds on Orache, Common Sorrel, Sheep's Sorrel, Knotgrass and Dock.
