Naturalised in aquatic nurseries through accidental introduction in aquatic plants from Sri Lanka, Indonesia and other parts of the Far East. First recorded breeding in Enfield, Middlesex in 1985 where relatively uncommon. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan male 9-10 mm, female 10-12 mm. Like a small
