Very rare immigrant (less than 10 previous UK records) from central and eastern Europe. Recorded once in Britain, at Deal, Kent, in 1885. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 19-26 mm. Voucher specimen should be retained for confirmation of identification. Larva feeds on Annual Meadow-grass.
