Recorded very infrequently in London and elsewhere through accidental importation in grain from Asia. In vice-county 11 recorded for the first time at Strouden Park, Bournemouth in Dorset on 21 June 2009. Not recorded from the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 15-34 mm. Larva feeds on dried goods, cereals and grain.
