The records that exist from Hampshire almost certainly result from deliberate introductions, particularly in Pamber Forest where attempts were made to establish it in the 1950s and 1960s: it is not known to be indigenous in the county. A population was established for a short time in the Aldershot area in the 1950s. Wingspan 40-44 mm. Larva feeds on Common Cow-wheat, Ribwort Plantain, Germander Speedwell and Foxglove.
