Nationally scarce (Na) in pine woodland in parts of Scotland. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 14-18 mm. Reminiscent of
Pseudococcyx posticana but distinguished by the narrower and more attenuate forewings and in the male by the strongly biciliate antennae [Bradley]. Larva feeds within needles and young shoots of Scots Pine and Lodgepole Pine, over-wintering as a pupa.
