Locally common in gardens on both sides of the Pennines, in southern Scotland and parts of Ireland. While larvae have been found on the foodplant in the Burren (Co. Clare, Ireland) and in Derbyshire, other larval records are from cultivars in gardens. Not likely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 17-20 mm. Larva feeds on Mossy Saxifrage.
