Vulnerable (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) and confined to dry open areas in north-west Norfolk, where first discovered on 14 August 1977, with subsequent records at Alethorpe Wood in South-east Yorkshire and Bawtry Forest in South-west Yorkshire. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 13-15 mm. Flies in sunshine. Larva feeds on Rosebay Willowherb, Great Willowherb and Broad-leaved Willowherb, living within a silken tube or tent.
