Endangered (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) on fens in parts of East Anglia, where known from Stalham and Sutton in Norfolk, and Woodwalton Fen in Huntingdonshire. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 8-10 mm. The angulate fascia separates this species from all similar species except
E. poae. Larva mines leaves of various grasses.
