Recorded infrequently through accidental importation in olive trees from southern Europe. The first confirmed record in Britain was at Addlestone, Surrey on 22 January 2009, when several mines were found and an adult was bred through. Recorded in Hampshire for the first time at Hilliers Arboretum in 2010, and subsequently one came to light in Southsea later that summer; recorded from the Isle of Wight in 2011 based on a mine containing cast larval skin found on an Olea europaea in Northwood in 2011. Wingspan 12-14 mm.
