Local in pine woodland throughout the British Isles. In Hampshire regularly recorded from just handful of sites, including West Walk, Wickham, with a scattering of records elsewhere, but probably under-recorded. First recorded from the Isle of Wight in 2015. Wingspan 9-11 mm. Larva mines needles of Scots Pine.
