Local in woodland, rocky areas and hedgerows in England and Wales, as far north as Lincolnshire and Worcestershire; also recorded from Northumberland (MBGBI Vol 3). Y.padella. Larva feeds on Orpine, living gregariously within a silken web, over-wintering as a pupa.
