Rare in woodland in England and Wales, except in the north, although there are records from Scotland. In Hampshire very rare, reported in the past from the New Forest, Southampton and Botley, and recent records may require validation; the only Isle of Wight record is from Brighstone Forest in 1978. Wingspan 14-17 mm. Larva feeds within fruit of currant sp. ( Ribes).
