Recorded infrequently through accidental importation. This North American species is included on the British list on the basis of a single recent record. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan male 17-36 mm, female wingless. Larva feeds on deciduous trees and shrubs and herbaceous plants, living within a movable case.
