Extinct in the British Isles, formerly in dry sandy areas, heaths and roadside verges in parts of Breckland and Kent. Formerly resident in East Anglia in Breckland, where not uncommon in the 1930s, but last reported at Mildenhall on 25 June 1960. Presumed immigrants have been recorded on the south coast, once at Exeter and again on 20 August 1947 at light in Swanage, Dorset. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 23-25 mm. Unmistakable. Larva feeds on Field Bindweed, no recent evidence of breeding in the UK.
