A rare migrant which may have been possibly resident for a short while in Kent during the mid 20th Century. Most records are from the south-east of England, during May and June. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 23-25 mm. Could be confused with the very much more common
Marbled White Spot Protodeltote pygarga, which has no white patch at base of forewings. Larva feeds on various grasses, especially Timothy.
