Very rare immigrant (less than 10 previous UK records) to the Channel Islands from mainland Europe, recorded for the first time as a genuine migrant on Guernsey in 1973, with two records of unknown origin from northern Britain in the second half of the 19th Century. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 34-38 mm. No evidence of breeding in the UK.
