Recorded infrequently in the 19th Century through accidental importation in produce from North America. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 110-130 mm. Resembles
Convolvulus Hawk-moth Agrius convolvuli, but with large yellow spots on side of abdomen and more boldly marked hindwing. Larva feeds on Tomato, Potato and Tobacco; no evidence of breeding in the UK.
