Rare (proposed as a future Red Data Book species) on sand-dunes and beaches, from Norfolk to Kent. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 17-19 mm. The straight, white cross-lines which converge strongly at dorsum are sufficient to identify this species [Goater]. Larva feeds on Common Restharrow and, less frequently, Broom, Red Clover, White Clover and Mountain Everlasting.
