A rare Red Data Book species, on grassy slopes and rocky areas in parts of Mull and Ulva, predominantly coastal, protected under the UK Wildlife and Countryside Act, and a priority species under the UK Biodiversity Action Plan. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 25-30 mm. Day-flying. Larva feeds on Bird's-foot Trefoil, over-wintering at least once.
