The existence of this species on the British List is confusing. Agassiz et al added it in the new list published in 2014, with the comment 'Prior to 1990 records of T. bjerkandrella are likely to refer to T. micalis'. They also indicate that it has been recorded in England, seemingly without evidence. The author cannot find any indication of its presence in this country before or after 1990.
