Added to UK list in 2004 as a previously overlooked resident when recorded as new to Britain by G. A. Collins in South Croydon, Surrey. In Hampshire recorded for the first and to date, only, time at Bramshott Common (close to the Surrey border) in 2009, when John Langmaid with the original finder found two vacated mines on the food plant. Wingspan 6.7-8 mm. Larva mines leaves of Wavy Hair-grass.
