Rare on calcareous grassland and dry sandy areas in eastern England. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 8-10 mm. Day-flying. Larva mines leaves of Lesser Stitchwort and Field Mouse-ear, living and feeding within a movable case; case length 6 mm.
