Nationally scarce (Na) in lowland Calluna heathland, moorland, pine woodland and sheltered rock ledges up to 600 m in the Scottish Highlands, from Perthshire to East Ross (MBGBI Vol 3). Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 10-14 mm. Larva mines leaves of Cowberry, living within a movable case, over-wintering twice.
