Recorded infrequently through accidental importation in pomegranates from Spain, although the species itself is a native of North America. Between 13 November and 2 December 2001 five specimens, two males and three females, were bred from larvae found in a supermarket in Plymouth, Devon. Recorded in Hampshire for the first time in 2013, when an adult came to light in Southsea. Wingspan 9-10 mm. Larva feeds within fruit of Pomegranate.
