Occurrence in the British Isles unconfirmed. Formerly reported from woodland and scrub in Beaulieu, south Hampshire, and Dover, Darenth Wood and Gravesend, Kent; the few British records date back to the early part of the 19th Century, but there is no evidence to suggest that the moth was ever resident in Britain (MBGBI Vol 4 part 1). Wingspan 25-34 mm. Larva feeds on Common Gromwell, living between flowers and leaves spun together with silk.
