Nationally scarce (Nb) in mature oak woodland in parts of England and eastern Wales. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 7-9 mm. Imago fairly regular at light, but more frequently recorded in the larval stage, when mines are relatively easy to find where they are present. Larva mines leaves of Oak, over-wintering as a pupa in a cocoon.
