Recorded infrequently through accidental importation in bongo drums covered with zebra or cattle skin from East Africa. Not recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight to date. Wingspan 9-18 mm. Similar to Case-bearing Clothes Moth Tinea pellionella. Larva feeds on animal hides.
