Local in gardens, orchards and parks throughout much of southern England, predominantly coastal. In Hampshire virtually confined to the extreme south-east; common around the coast of the Isle of Wight. Wingspan 5-6.5 mm. Imago seldom encountered at light, and more likely to be recorded in the larval stage, when mines are relatively easy to find where they are present. Larva mines leaves of Evergreen Oak.
