Scarce in woodland in northern Ireland, south-western Scotland and on the Isle of Man. Unlikely to be recorded in Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight. Larva mines leaves of Whitebeam, Wild Service-tree and Cotoneaster, over-wintering as a pupa.
